Gibraltar is home to a growing number of internet-based businesses; gaming firms, fintech companies and others have come to the Rock in recent years. This means that cyber security is a big concern locally and one school teacher has seized on this opportunity to get more young people considering it as a career option.
Stewart Harrison, Head of Physics at Bayside School for Boys, first took a Gibraltar team to the Cyber Centurion competition (at the home of the code-breakers; Bletchley Park) five years ago. His teams have gone on to reach the finals and even win the whole competition, proving that although Gibraltar may be small, it can compete at the highest level.
